College of Optometrists

The Research Strategy is currently funded through the College's Research Fund and membership subscriptions. The College is most grateful to those individuals and groups who continue to make donations to the Research Fund. Investment strategy continues to be slanted towards capital growth, in order to make larger sums available to fund regular and ad hoc research.

 

As the work to implement and further develop the strategy moves forward, ensuring that the funding model is also developed is critical to its continued success. The College is beginning to develop relationships with key funding bodies, establish opportunities to fund projects collaboratively with other bodies and ultimately develop new funding for the strategy.
